Simon joined Elekta 10 years ago to prepare the business for a period of rapid growth and acquisition. He quickly created an IT capability that has helped Elekta become a highly successful global provider of clinical solutions for treating cancer and brain disorders. Elekta solutions are now available in over 6,000 locations worldwide and provide treatment for more than one million people every year.
To provide the speed and agility necessary at Elekta, Simon was a very early adopter of cloud technologies and implemented global, single instance IT solutions to support all key business processes. Simon is now focused on creating business value from the investment by bringing people, processes and technology together to best effect. This has recently involved him leading the rapid creation of a Global Business Service Centre in Poland to improve the consistency and quality of operational support processes across the world.
