Ewa Carr-de Avelon

Head of XL Catlin Poland Shared Service, ABSL Wroclaw Chapter Lead

Ewa has got 25 years of total professional experience, with half of this time spent in various managerial roles in the shared service industry. Her experience includes heading the HR Service Centre for Credit Suisse Poland, servicing Switzerland and EMEA, and the Sales & Marketing services delivery for Hewlett Packard Global Business Services, with responsibility for operations in Poland and Romania. Currently, she manages XL Catlin Enterprise Shared Services for Poland, which focuses on delivery of various transactional and non-transactional services in the insurance and re-insurance space.
Ewa's areas of interest and practical experience are also business development, transformations and change management, as well as continuous process improvement. Ewa graduated with a Master degree in German and Dutch Philology at the University of Wroclaw, and with a Master of Science in Strategic Quality Management at the Portsmouth University, UK. She also holds two post graduate degrees: in Public Relations, and in HR Management. Additionally, she is an alumni of the Innovation and Entrepreneurial Certificate Program at the Stanford University, US (certified in 2015).
